This is the steamship - William G. Mather at sunset - a retired Great Lakes bulk freighter now restored as a museum ship in Cleveland, Ohio, one of four in the Great Lakes region.
She transported cargo such as ore, coal, stone, and grain to ports throughout the Great Lakes, and was nicknamed "The Ship That Built Cleveland" because Cleveland's steel mills were a frequent destination.
She is located in Voinovich Park on Lake Erie at the Great Lakes Science Center.

"Art, like flowers, nourishes the soul. Happy people usually have access to art..." (Quote by Dan Buettner - the author of the 2008 best seller "The Blue Zones.") My wish is to share much joy through my artistic interpretation of the world through my camera. I've focused my lense on a variety of architectural scenes and landscapes in Europe, Mexico, Canada and throughout the United States. Those images and more are highlighted in my galleries. If you have a specific photo need and don't see it in my galleries - send an e-mail to mark@spectralight.com and I'll check my extensive library of images to see if I have it. I have thousands of beautiful images that haven't been posted but would be happy to upload for possible purchase...
